Kristine Tissier was born in 1928 in Maine-Loire. Graduated from the Beaux-Arts and Decorative Arts of Paris, the artist does not claim to be part of any movement, group or current of thought. Nevertheless, as an admirer of Fautrier and Zao Wou-Ki, Kristine Tissier gradually moves from a painting that is stylised to the extreme, to an abstraction on the edge of figuration. Her pictorial research is oriented towards variations and the effects of raw material. A mixture of coatings and sands, the exact composition of which remains a secret, allows her to texture and structure her painting while giving her canvases a remarkable solidity. Kristine Tissier affixes, scrapes, sculpts virgin lands, thus creating immense spaces bathed in light.
Numerous exhibitions mark out her artistic career: from Parisian galleries such as Suzanne de Conynck in the 1970s to the Mireille Batut d'Haussy gallery in 2001, she is also a regular at the Salon d'Art Sacré or the Salon Grands et Jeunes d'aujourd'hui. In the 1970s, a major exhibition was organized by the Delegation of Cultural Action in the city to highlight all the artists housed under the auspices of the Paris City Hall. Kristine Tissier is part of the group "12 de la rue de la Procession" and will exhibit alongside Peter Klasen.
From the 2000s onwards, museums and cultural centres have definitively institutionalized her work. The Arthur Rimbaud Museum (1996), Saint-Dié-des-Vosges (2000), Niort (2000), the cultural centre of Korea (1996) or Egypt (2004) have their picture rails covered with the artist's paintings.
The session will bring together more than 40 years of creation: canvases, drawings, jewellery, plasterwork, sculptures and works on paper reflect Kristine Tissier's fervour to express her art.

Kristine Tissier naît en 1928 dans le Maine-Loire. Diplômé des Beaux-Arts et des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, l’artiste ne se revendique d’aucun mouvement, aucun groupe, aucun courant de pensée. Néanmoins admiratrice de Fautrier et Zao Wou-Ki, Kristine Tissier passe peu à peu d’une peinture stylisée à l’extrême, à une abstraction à la lisière de la figuration. Sa recherche picturale s’oriente vers la variations et les effets de matière brute. Un mélange d’enduits et de sables, dont la composition exacte demeure secrète, lui permet de texturer et structurer sa peinture tout en conférant à ses toiles une remarquable solidité. Kristine Tissier appose, gratte, sculpte des contrées vierges, valonne ainsi d’immenses espaces baignées de lumière.
De nombreuses expositions jalonnent sa carrière artistique : des galeries parisiennes comme Suzanne de Conynck dans les années 1970 jusqu’à la galerie Mireille Batut d’Haussy en 2001, elle est également une habitué du Salon d’Art Sacré ou du Salon Grands et Jeunes d’aujourd’hui. Dans les années 70, une grande exposition est organisé par la délégation de l’action culturelle à la ville pour mettre en lumière tous les artistes logés sous la houlette de la Mairie de Paris. Kristine Tissier fait ainsi parti du groupe des « 12 de la rue de la Procession » et exposera notamment aux côtés de Peter Klasen.
A partir des années 2000 les musées et les centres culturels institutionnalisent définitivement son travail. Le Musée Arthur Rimbaud (1996), de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges (2000), de Niort (2000) le centre culturel de Corée (1996) ou d’Egypte (2004) voient leur cimaises recouvertes des toiles de l’artiste.
La vacation regroupera plus de 40 ans de création : toiles, dessins, bijoux, plâtres, sculptures, œuvres sur papier traduisent la ferveur de Kristine Tissier à exprimer son art.

The pieces in ivory or containing elements of ivory come from pre-convention specimens, prior to 1 March 1947 and in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art. - Pending the application of Decree No. 2017-1583 of 17 November 2017 published in the OJ of 19 November, which completes the regulatory framework for trade in ivory and rhino horn manufactured before 1947 and which provides for certain terms of the Declaration provided for by the Order of 4 May 2017 for trade in this type of objects. The computer system of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, which should enable this declaration to be made through the i-CITES application, is not yet operational.

Les pièces en ivoire ou contenant des éléments d’ivoire sont issues de spécimens pré-convention, antérieur au 1er mars 1947 et conforme au Règlement CE 338/97 du 09/12/1996 art. - en l’attente de l'application du Décret n° 2017-1583 du 17 novembre 2017 publié au JO du 19 novembre qui vient compléter le dispositif de réglementation du commerce de l’ivoire et de la corne de rhinocéros fabriqués avant 1947 et qui prévoit certaines modalités de la Déclaration prévue par l’arrêté du 4 mai 2017 pour le commerce de ce type d' objets. Le système informatique du ministère de la transition écologique et solidaire, qui doit permettre d’effectuer cette déclaration par l’intermédiaire de l’application i-CITES, n’étant pas encore opérationnel.
