SCRIBAN FURNITURE, PROVENCE, 18th century
walnut molded and carved with moving reserves, burst shells, foliage and flowers. It is composed in the lower part, of a scriban chest of drawers opening with four drawers - including one simulated - on two rows, separated by a crossbar. The flap, trimmed with leather interior and forming a writing desk, reveals nine drawers on three rows. The rounded uprights are highlighted with a graceful foliage shell pattern. The openwork apron of shells and scrolls. Curved feet finished by a winding.
It is
topped by a library opening on two glass doors, the pediment in a gendarme hat, decorated with a shell centred on a shell decorated with pamper and
foliage
scrolls
