Verciert met veel schoone figuren, gesneden door Christoffel van Sichem. [Amsterdam] Pieter Iacobsz Paets [1657], 1646 (NT) 2 parts in 1 vol., folio: [4]-1265-[3 bl.], 468 (= 442)-[6] pp. (4 prelim. pp. lacking i.a. engr. title; large dampstain throughout, some browning, sm. tear in p. 1093, quire Iiii misbound, margins of ff. Bb3-4 a bit shorter). Contemp. calf over wood (some scratches), richly gilt spine with 6 raised bands (joints rubbed, sm. def. on head & tail), metal corner pieces, metal clasps and catches, modern endpapers. Splendid illustrated corr. ed. of the Dutch Roman Catholic Bible. The first part is an update of the standard Antwerp 1599 edition of Jan Moretus. The second part is a revised version (by Henricus van den Leemputten) of the New Testament edition of Cornelis Verschuren. Coat of arms of the dedicatee Ambrosius Capello, bishop of Antwerp, on verso first title.
