Makassarholz, veneered. Straight body on narrow profile frame and edged, pointed baluster
legs. In the front wide knee compartment, bevelled at the corners and corresponding
drawer, flanked by two large doors. Behind them drawers and partially
extendable shelves. Flat
shelf compartment at the rear. Cover plate corresponding to the carcass with inlaid, embossed leather worktop. Vertical and horizontal veneer panels covering the entire surface. H. Seventy-one centimeters.

In its formal language, this representative
piece of writing furniture corresponds to Bruno Paul's designs of the 1910s and 1920s, for example for the Vereinigte Werkstätten, the Deutsche
Werkstätten or the Berlin Zoo workshops.
