Étienne BOUCHARDY (1797-1850) Portrait of the physicist Augustin Fresnel (1788-1827). Physionotrace, framed in a medallion under glass titled on a label on the back. Empire era. Diam. 6 cm. Provenance: Nabon inheritance, sale for the benefit of the Diocesan Association of Blois. Etienne Bouchardy (1797-1849), miniaturist student of Sicardi, takes over in 1808 (- 1840) the workshop of Gilles-Louis Chrétien (Versailles 1754-1811), inventor of the physionotrace in 1786.
