Rousseau's service was awarded a medal at the 1867 World's Fair. This Japanese service in fine earthenware printed under enamel was published in 1866 by François-Eugène Rousseau (1827-1890) after the etchings of Félix Bracquemond (1833-1914). It was reissued uninterruptedly until the middle of the 20th century.
