Russia, late 19th century, solid hardwood board closed by two back sponki, tempera over chalk ground, partly gilded, Kovcheg, frontal half-length portrait of St. Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of Russia, in rich incarnation, the right hand raised to the gesture of blessing, holding a book of the Gospels in the left, flanked at head height by Christ and the Mother of God, which give him the bishop's attributes, slight preservation defects, dimensions 43 x 37 cm.
