"El aviso de escarmentados del año que acaba y escarmiento de avisados para el que empieza de 1935". (Almanac). 1st edition, Madrid: Published by Cruz y Raya, 1935. This book was printed in Madrid at Silverio Aguirre printing press on the 31st January 1935. 1000 copies were printed, 935 numbered copies were for resale, this one is number 49. It includes photomontages and drawings by Benjamín Palencia. There is a translation by Pablo Neruda of a Walt Whitman poem Pasto en llamas (Leaves of Grass). In the final note it states: “The following have collaborated with José Bergamín on the composition of this almanac: with their original poetry and prose: Miguel de Unamuno, Juan Larrea, Pablo Neruda, Leopoldo Eulogio Palacios, José A. Muñoz Rojas and Ramón Gómez de la Serna, with texts and translations: Luys Santa Marina and Rafael Sánchez Mazas, and with his photomontages and drawings, Benjamín Palencia.” In its original cover, although this is worn. This publication is not mentioned in Neruda’s bibliographies. Half-bound at a later date in reddish covers. 29 x 22 cm.
