Collection of documents comprising: 8 handwritten letters to Otto and Elena de Sola; 4 typewritten letters with their respective envelopes; 4 post cards. Chronologically:
1. Paris, 2nd October 1950. Letter from Pablo Neruda to Elena de Sola. 27x21 cm. 1 typewritten sheet of paper with a handwritten signature in green ink: “Pablo” + envelope postmarked in Paris, 3/10/1950, addressed to Elena de Sola in Martinique. No return address.
2. Paris, 6th February 1951. Letter from Pablo Neruda to Elena and Otto de Sola . 27x21 cm. 1 typewritten sheet of blue paper with a signature handwritten in green ink “Pablo y Hor.”, alongside an address written in green ink in Neruda’s handwriting and an envelope with a Paris postmark addressed to Elena de Sola in Martinique.
3. 20th November 1951. Handwritten letter from Pablo Neruda and Hormiga (Delia del Carril) to Otto and Elena de Sola. [Geneva] 30x21 cm. 1 sheet of tissue paper handwritten in green ink and signed “Pablo Neruda y su Hormiga” + envelope postmarked Geneve [Geneva] on 22nd November 1951, addressed to Otto de Sola in Oslo, Norway.
4. Paris, 10th March 1951. Telegram sent by Pablo Neruda and Hormiga to Elena de D’Sola at the Venezuelan Consulate in Port de France. 28x18 cm. Signed in blue ink “Pablo” with a handwritten note in Neruda’s handwriting: “perdí mi pluma y mi tinta verde”. Signed in green ink “Hormiga”.
5. Bucharest, 31st August 1951. Letter handwritten in blue ink from Pablo Neruda addressed to Elena de Sola at the Consulate of Venezuela in Oslo. 21x15 cm. Signed in blue ink Pablo Neruda + orangey envelope postmarked in Bucharest, 3rd September 1951.
6. Beijing, 19th September, 1951. Typewritten letter on paper illustrated with a flower painted by hand, addressed to Elena y Ot, from Neruda y Hormiga. 27x16 cm. + envelope postmarked in Beijing, 21st September 1951, it has a line of writing in Chinese characters in black ink in the left margin of the front of the envelope.
7. Prague, 10th November [1951]. Handwritten letter in red ink from Neruda to Otto de Sola. 2 sheets of paper handwritten in red ink with the signature “Pablo”. + envelope postmarked Prague 10th November 1951, to Otto de Sola at the Venezuelan Consulate in Oslo, Norway.
8. Geneva, 10th December 1951. Handwritten letter in green and pink ink on white tissue paper. Signature in green ink, “Pablo y Hormiga”. 30x21 cm. + envelope with a postmark from Geneva 10th December 1951 to Oslo, Norway.
9. Santiago [de Chile], 30th July 1952. Handwritten letter in green ink in Pablo Neruda’s handwriting with signature. 22x17 cm. + envelope postmarked in Chile on the 31st July 1951, addressed to la Sra. Elena de Sola in Barcelona, Spain.
10. Buenos Aires, 17th November 1954. Handwritten letter in green ink from Neruda addressed to Helen. 2 sheets of paper handwritten in green ink. 22x17 cm. + envelope postmarked in Buenos Aires, 17th November 1954, addressed to Elena de Sola in Oslo, Norway.
11. Isla Negra, 30th July 1956. Handwritten letter in green ink from Neruda addressed to Otto, signed “Pablo”. 27x22 cm. + envelope postmarked in Santiago de Chile on the 31st July 1956.
12. Isla Negra, 9th March 1957. Handwritten letter in green ink from Pablo Neruda to Otto, on paper with the “Fundación Pablo Neruda para el Estudio de la Poesía” letterhead. 27x21 cm. + envelope postmarked and sent from Santiago on the 9th March 1957.
13. Prague, 27th May 1951. Postcard with a black and white image of the Castle of Prague seen from the banks of the river Vltava on the front. 11x15 cm. Handwritten in black ink. Sent by Neruda to Elena de Sola at the Venezuelan Consulate of Martinique.
14. Moscow, 22nd September 1951. Postcard with a colour image of a pheasant on the front, sent to Elena de Sola at the Venezuelan Consulate in Oslo. 11x15 cm. Handwritten in black ink.
15. Moscow, 16th October 1952. Postcard with a black and white image of Red Square, Moscow on the front. Sent to Elena de Sola in Oslo. 11x15 cm. Handwritten in blue ink.
16. Poland (date illegible). Postcard sent from Poland to Otto de Sola at the Venezuelan Consulate in Martinique. 11x15 cm. Handwritten in green ink.
