A small copper-lustre decorated albarello, Kashan, Iran, late 12th century, on a short foot with straight sides, sloped shoulders leading to a short neck and curved rim, the copper-coloured lustre decoration on a white ground with central horizontal band of Kufic script and roundels, the shoulder with a band of naskh script in reserve, 11.2cm. high
