Alain Puech is more of a draughtsman than a painter. He worked in advertising as a freelance illustrator for a few years before devoting himself fully to his artistic work in 1985.
He has worked with many different techniques (dry and oil pastels, pencils, inks...) and his work revolves around the body, dance and portraiture. Since April 2008, he has been making one self-portrait a day. Alain Puech has been running a municipal school of visual arts since 2006.
