Description
Surian Jean Jacques
Jean-Jacques Surian is a painter and ceramist born and working in Marseille.


He was inspired by painters of his region such as Cézanne, and Vincent van Gogh. He defends the idea that "art is a commitment of a life with the freedom of creation linked to inner necessity", in agreement with Yves Michaux. The attached painting is part of a series that has been exhibited at the Musée des Tapisseries d'Aix-en-Provence.


His works have been acquired by numerous public and private collections: Calvet Museum in Avignon, Van Gogh Foundation in Arles, Regards de Provence Foundation in Marseille, Félix Ziem Museum in Martigues, FRAC Paca. Jean Jacques Surian exhibits in Paris and abroad.
