Robert Smit, 18krt. gold ring, consisting of an etched diamond, which is riveted together by two points. Robert Smit trained as a goldsmith in Phorzheim on the advice of his friend Jan Schoonhoven. His early work was influenced by the work of "zero artists" such as Jan Schoonhoven, Fontana, etc. From 1972 - 1985 Robert Smit turned away from jewellery and focused on his painting. In 1985 he returned as a jewellery designer with an exhibition in Galerie Ra. In his work he often uses 18krt. gold, which he learned himself, to create the right colour. Robert Smit, sells his jewellery in recycled cases, boxes or homemade boxes. [1]
