Note: Descendant of a family of painters, Trần Quang Hiếu was born on October 9, 1938 in Tân Vĩnh Hòa in the province of Sa Đéc, South Vietnam. He graduated from the Gia School of Fine Arts đình
/ Saigon in 1954. The following year, he left for Paris to study at the Beaux-Arts. From then on, he took part in numerous group exhibitions, the most important of which was the exhibition celebrating the Franco-Vietnamese Friendship held at the Maison de la Chimie, which opened on April 10, 1958. On this occasion, his works were on familiar terms with those of major artists such as Lê Phổ (Vietnam / Indochina and France, 1907-2001) and Lê Bá Đảng (Vietnam / Indochina and France, 1921-2015). In 1961, an exhibition dedicated to his work was given by the city of Saigon under the patronage of the Minister of Cultural Affairs.
