A Statuette of a Kore

Statuette of a standing young woman with veiled head. Two long strands of curls cascade over the shoulders. The body is wrapped in a long garment that leaves the feet free. The right hand is placed in front of the chest and holds an object (probably a flower). The left hand is not visible but is placed inside the robe and pulls it forward a little. Almost square base. Probably Eastern Greek. Condition: Minor surfaces losses at the forehead and part of the upper head. Entire surface sintered. Traces of the white ground preserved.
