First edition. - The pretty prints show paintings from the Sung- and Yuan-Dynasty, which are known for their square or circle shape. Vol. 1-5 from the Qing Dynasty Royal Collection, Vol. 6 from the Zhuang Tao Ge Collection, and Vol. 7 from the Ping Deng Ge Collection. Among the artists represented are Ma Yuan (1160-1225), Zhao Chang (960-1016), Guo Xi (1020-1090), Fan Kuan (990-1020), Xia Gui (1195-1224) and Liu Songnian (1174-1224). - The collotypes are very well preserved.
