With ornamentally entwined centrepiece, the upper third with flowering plants in a stylised 13-pointed crown, the lower third with 2 stylised tulip blossoms. The three-part back is decorated with stylised vegetable and fruit ornaments. 2 leafy silver buckles, book block at the top and bottom of the spine then covered with flat, decorated silver plates.

Cont. German silver binding over wooden boards covered by a gold plated background plate, surrounded by a raised silver frame with crafted and engraved reliefs of silver furniture with an interlaced ornamental middle piece, crowned by two flowering plants growing out of a stylised crown, bottom part with a different piece of two flowers (tulips). Both covers bear the same design. The spine is divided into three panels by two raised bands. Each panel with a gilt plated background plate within raised silver frames. Each panel with a crafted silver relief still life with variant combinations of vegetable and fruit (pumpkin, grape, cherry, nut among others). Both spine-ends covered by flat shaped and engraved silver caps. All edges apply with blind embossed floral ecorations. Two gilt plated pierced and foliated silver clasps. (125 x 65 mm). Traces of use, silver tarnished in places.
