is attached.
This desk was presented at the XII Milan Triennial (The House and the School: International Triennial Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts and Modern Architecture) in 1960 where it was awarded the gold medal and won the press vote. However, it was not published for schools because of the high cost of manufacture and the public's attraction to metal-framed furniture. The known copies are prototypes for the model class of the Triennale.

Provenance: Former collection of Nele Huisman -architect - daughter of Jacques Huisman, friend of Jules Wabbes. Nele Huisman also worked with André Jacqmain who collaborated with Wabbes on various projects such as the design of the foyer and the large hall of the National Theatre of Belgium, founded by Jacques Huisman.
