Roger Bertemes is an artist trained at Johnny Friedlaender's engraving studio in Paris. His work has been regularly rewarded and his works presented in international collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in Venice, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and the Museum of Modern Art in Dublin.
In 1947, he became a teacher and then professor of art education. Fascinated by transmission and pedagogy, he was very involved in the association "l'Art à l'Ecole" in Luxembourg to promote artistic awakening among the youngest who considered art to be spontaneous and natural.
