TWO FAUTEUILS with QUEEN REGENCE and LOUIS XV in moulded and richly carved natural wood, the backrests decorated with the cushioning of a flower. The moved armrests, one with a cuff, ending in scrolls with water and acanthus leaves that extend on moved consoles. The scrolled belts are decorated with shells and foliage. Four arched feet ending in scrolls and presenting on the front ones a decoration of water leaves and acanthus leaves. End of Regency period for one and Louis XV for the other. Decorated with a yellow fabric with floral motifs. The Regency armchair : Height 99,5 Width 71, Depth 71,4 cm. The Louis XV armchair : Height 94,6 Width 61, Depth 66 cm. (accidents and restorations). Provenance : descendant of Jean Marie-Pie Michel Claret (1805-1886), architect-decorator of Napoleon III and protégé of Baron James de Rothschild.
