SARCOPHAGE-RELIQUARY of LÉZARD in bronze with hieroglyphic inscription on two sides. Green marble base bearing an old label. Egypt, Lower Egypt (664-332 BC). Length. 10 cm. Provenance : collection André Lataillade ; transmitted to his goddaughter in 1969 ; by descent, Poitou castle. Bronze lizard sarcophagus. Egypt, Low period. Remarkable for its size and quality. The hollow base of the ex-voto of this type received a mummy of the represented animal.
