Pair of extraordinary Empire wall appliqués
Height: 53 cm.

Depth: 31 cm.
Paris, c. 1805 - 1810.

Bronze, cast, chased, gilded. Central wall tondo, flanked at the top and bottom by open worked leaf ornaments. Three eagle head arms growing out of the tondo, their heads connected by foliage ornaments, each of which is in turn equipped with a focal point, so that each applike has five focal points.
