Cabinet in Renaissance style
Height: 227 cm.

Northern Italy, second half of the 19th century.

On pressed spherical feet the rectangular body with a risalit-like protruding centre, the base with three doors and three drawers. The three drawers above the doors, the superstructure also three-door with drawers below. Ebonised on all sides and inlaid with fine ivory inlays, these are decorated with Renaissance motifs with partially blackened engraving and with inlaid stones such as lapis lazuli, porphyry and agate. Gilded bronze knobs, partly designed as busts. Three keys available. The architectural design is based on Renaissance motifs. Raised in the centre by a curved profiled arch, accompanied by caryatids in tendril decoration and ebonised vases decorated with ivory.
