Snuffbox in the shape of a turtle

The upper and lower sides of a box with gilded metal mountings, made from a turtle's shell and belly, in a two-part construction, with plastically shaped limbs and a clasp in the shape of a river deity, whose head forms the clasp of the box. (1241017) (13)
