"Head of the Goddess Pomona" in carved white marble. Period: Hellenistic, 3rd - 4th century B.C. (?). Provenance: The grandfather of the current owner bought it during a sale of the contents of an Antwerp castle (Bouchout ?) in the 60s. Maximiliaan Martens, professor of art history at the University of Ghent, examined the head and declared it authentic. (**). H.(excluding the marble base):+/-39,7cm.
