Rare plate
Meissen 1774-75
Roundly troughed, with rising flag and bulging lip rim. Front side painted underglaze blue with branches of kakiemon blossom and a bird of paradise, partly overdecorated in colour. Surrounding the back side with wavy floral decoration and ring lines. Porcelain, at the bottom underglazed blue sword mark with star and letter "M". Painting by Carl August Moebius. Cf.
