PAIR MONUMENTAL KING DOORS FROM A CHURCH ICONOSTASE Russia, St. Petersburg, 2nd half 18th century wood, carved. Egg tempera on chalk ground. The two wings are open-worked and decorated with carved acanthus vines. Each 286 x 66 cm. The incorporated oval medallions show the four evangelists and the Annunciation of the Mother of God in very fine painting quality. Provenance: Private collection, Paris.
