Collection of naval history from the possession of the author and world traveller Jochen Brennecke (1913-1997): Navy dagger in hammered brass sheath with portepée, German Reich 1933-45, handle and pommel missing, quillon with portepee available, also pendants for officer's dagger, blade heavily corroded, marked with helmet and W.K.C., overall length 37.5 cm; probably Hanswilly Bernartz, watercoloured and white-higher drawing of the frigate i. rank "L'Iphigénie", titled on the right and below, monogrammed E. B. and dated 70, 9 x 16 cm (passepartout cut-out), back. with dedication; with book Bernartz, Hanswilly, "Marinemaler aus der Bernartz-Sammlung des Deutschen Schiffahrtsmuseums Bremerhaven", Herford 1977, with handwritten dedication by the author and inserted copy of a letter of thanks from the Office of the Federal President to the author; printed photograph of the three-master Grand Duchess Elisabeth, 26.5 x 34 cm (passepartout cut-out), with ribbon with the ship's name; printed and handwritten certificate of the traveller's baptism in the equator, 1940s-50s; 2 Japanese customs documents, around 1910, one for a Norwegian oil tanker; replica of the alleged commemorative plaque of Francis Drake from 1579; paperback Brennecke, Jochen "Die Wende im U-Boot-Krieg", 1984, with author's signature.
