ANTIPHONARY

MANUSCRIT MUSICAL, Directorium Chori, [late seventeenth century]; a small volume in-4 of 40 ff. wove vellum, bound in embossed fawn basane (contemporary binding).

Antiphonary of the Augustinian convent of Barcelona, executed after 1690 (on f. 37, feast of Blessed Maria de Cervellione) in red and black ink, with ornate and coloured lettering, giving, with music notated in square notes, the first bars of the main songs, sequences and psalms for the different feasts and the proper of the time per month, and the feasts of the Saints, etc.
