H: 86 cm, W: 140 cm The general style of this seat, and more specifically the armrest supports and the way it connects to the cambered foot, is very reminiscent of the deliveries by the carpenter Jean-Baptiste Boulard for the Duc de Choiseul-Stainville to the Château de Chanteloup around 1770 (see Chanteloup, un moment de grâce autour du duc de Choiseul, cat. exp., Musée des beaux-arts de Tours, Paris, 2007, p. 258, fig. 3).
