A late 18th / early 19th century French silver two bottle oil and vinegar frame, by Ambroise Mignerot, Paris 1797-1809, in the Egyptian manner, shaped rectangular form, with a central carrying handle, the wire-work bottle frame and stopper holder supported by four winged sphinx heads, on tapering legs, the base with an apron pierced with vertical slats and each side with two griffins supporting a vacant shield cartouche, on four acorn feet, with two later clear glass oil and vinegar bottles, height 32cm, approx. weight 21oz.
