A George III silver inkwell, by Samuel Herbert & Co, London 1765, rectangular form, the gallery pierced with chevron decoration, gadroon borders, with a silver-mounted glass inkwell and sander, engraved with an armorial within foliate mantling, on four claw and ball feet, length 16.2cm, approx. weighable 7oz. The armorial is that of Mills impaling another.
