A George IV silver beer jug, by William Eley II, London 1824, baluster form, embossed with a stag and deer in a forest setting, the reverse with foliate scroll decoration, leaf capped scroll handle, initialled, gilded interior, on a raised circular foot, height 32cm, approx. weight 52oz. Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver & Russian Works of Art, 13 December 2007, lot 1836.
