Description
A rare late-Victorian novelty silver butt marker cane handle, by Hilliard and Thomason, Birmingham 1899, tapering circular form, the front initialled the hinged cover, the initialled hinged cover opens to reveal a pull-out silver cartridge, which in turn opens to reveal ten numbered 10 ivorine pegs, length of cartridge 5.7cm, total length 10.5cm. Provenance: A Private Collection. Alastair Dickenson Ltd.
