A George I silver sugar box, by Matthew Cooper, overstriking other marks, London 1717, octagonal bombé form, the hinged cover with a crest, the front with an armorial within foliate mantling, on a raised shaped octagonal foot, length 13cm, height 11cm, approx. weight 15oz. Provenance: A Private Collection. Alastair Dickenson Ltd. The crest is probably that of Frowicke and other families.
