Inside 6 sheets with gilt edges. Complete binding in cream calfskin and with frieze with rich ornamental and floral gold embossing. Upper outer cover with applied "E" on a floral metal decoration under an elaborately designed crown, both gilded. Framed by partly gilded floral decoration and two gilded coats of arms embedded on velvet as well as the day and year indication. Four gilded hump studs on the back cover. Interior bindings with elaborate cream and blue leather bindings. Each with an Austro-Hungarian coat of arms with gold and silver metal inlays, inlaid in black and red leather and double gold embossed frieze. The title page dedicated to the Empress is very elaborate and, especially in the decorative frame, meticulously executed in watercolour, gouache and pen on a gold ground. The 2 following sheets in italic OHandwriting, partly heightened in gold and with hand-coloured engraving. Initials provided, additionally in handkol. Ornaments. They contain a thank you to the empress for her patronage of the flag consecration ceremony of the infantry corps in Prague on August 18, 1880 and a pledge of loyalty to the crown. 3 Bll. with 65 O signatures of the members of the infantry corps. - Housed in a box covered with black paper with a white moiré silk cushion. Corners of the binding minimally scuffed. Bll. partly slightly browned due to age. Box rubbed and with chipped corners. - Both cover and sheet in very well preserved and colourful condition.
