In matching HLdr slipcase on 5 frets with gold-tooled RTitel and ownership ("Eugene Field's copy"), blind embossing, inside with marbled paper cover (slightly scraped and slightly scuffed). Wing D320, Greg III, 1057th - First collected edition with previously unpublished material. - Last sheet signed William Davenant on verso. Inside mirror with ex-libris by the American writer Eugene Field, known for his children's poetry and humorous essays. Handwritten note (dated 2 September 1923) by Eugene Field II on the back marbled endpaper recto. - Slightly browned and foxed, title page restored with tear. Trimmed at upper margin.
