An important Grand Cross of the Order of the Imperial Rose of BrazilGold, silver and polychrome enamels ca. 1870/1880 White enamelled six point star framed by a crown of roses toped by Imperial crown Central frame with intertwined initials P and A (Pedro and Amelia) surrounded by the moto "Amor e Fidelidade" (Love and Fidelity). On the reverse the order creation date "8-2-1829", surrounded by the inscription "Pedro e Amélia" Plaque of similar decoration depicting exclusively the initials and the motto Parsi assay-mark 2nd half 19th century In the original case initialled "P.II." for Pedro II Emperor of Brazil (r.1831-1889)
