Loose in cont. purple silk covered box which has its or. sleeve and slipcase. NOTE:Probably a member of the Dordrecht 't Hooft (also Visser 't Hooft) family, well-known rope makers. Names that occur: G.B. 't Hooft, P.M. 't Hooft, G.C. 't Hooft, Bolding, Kolff, Friederich, De Kat, Hoffman, Soeteman, etc. Charming album and very well preserved. Cornelis Gerardus 't Hooft (1791-1871), of whom no contribution is found in the album, was co-founder and director of the 'Dordrechts Museum'.
